Overwatch is 'feasible' on Switch, StarCraft II, not so much — Blizzard

Diablo III was the long-awaited follow-up to the cult favorite Diablo II. When the High Heavens and the Burning Hells war, humanity must be its own salvation.

The minions of Hell have grown unfathomably strong since Diablo III's release, but lucky for the High Heavens, reinforcements are on the way.

The release date for Diablo III: Eternal Collection is "2018", hopefully we won't be waiting too long for the final date.

From the jump, everything in Diablo III is unlocked, from a full campaign and Adventure mode, to seven character classes and themed seasons.

The Eternal Collection for the Nintendo Switch incorporates the system's flexibility and versatility into its design. Still, it lines up with the naming scheme Nintendo used for its Switch port of Mario Kart 8.

Other special features include the possibility of playing the game in four player local co-op mode on the same console, or on four separate consoles communicating over the WiFi connection.

While talking about bringing Diablo 3 to Nintendo Switch, senior producer Pete Stilwell said that working on the game was a good opportunity for Blizzard to explore the Switch technology and get a better understanding of it.

The idea of Blizzard games on Nintendo Switch used to be an absurdity, but a recent confirmation of Diablo II on the platform has changed the conversation.

Another day, another report that Overwatch could, one day, come to the Nintendo Switch. It still doesn't. Overwatch is an evolving game, and the development team is focused on keeping consistent updates ongoing, rather than creating a whole new port. Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan spoke about this in April 2017, saying that it's just a huge undertaking: "It's also already challenging right now maintaining three platforms and patching simultaneously, which is something that we've finally been able to achieve", he said.
