I'm not agreeing with Jose in terms of (being) disrespectful.

"That is true, you can not buy class, I agree with Jose, you can not Jose", Guardiola told a news conference after City's 6-1 win over Huddersfield Town on Sunday.

"I can only say it's different from previous years we have won the league", Kompany told reporters.

The left-back missed nearly the whole of last season due to a knee injury but cultivated a big following with his comical style on Twitter and Instagram - as well as coining the #SharkTeam hashtag which accompanied City's record-breaking Premier League campaign.

"Liverpool are trying to win the title with their fantastic investment".

"Of course, the opponents are there, but it's his opinion, it's Jose's opinion".

Pep Guardiola took Foden aside in the summer to issue a simple message: "You're a first-team player now".

"So the only thing I can say is I'm delighted in the way he trains every single day, he trains like a professional, the way he improves and he has the same chances as the other guys".

Guardiola refused to be drawn on further questions about Mourinho's comments, preferring to focus on City's performance as they made it two wins out of two in the Premier League.

"I thought to take Sergio off before the hat-trick but in the end it was ideal, he scored a goal and off to a standing ovation". "Since he came back from the first second. wow, he came back flawless. But if we can compete then we will have done something what no other team has done since the last nine years".

Guardiola was also proud to see David Silva carrying his son onto the pitch before the game, with the Spaniard going onto score a spectacular 30-yard free kick.

In fact, Silva stood with Mateo for the team picture, a really special moment for all the Silva family and those who have supported him through recent months. Yeah, "Kun" scored three goals and all that.

"He will never forget the first time he saw his father play football".

"It was a hard team for us to face last season and it was a special week and we did extremely well", he added.
