Apple claims that iPhone models that were shipped between September 2017 and March 2018 in some markets like China, Japan, New Zealand, or the U.S. are affected by the issue. Apparently, the pictures show two smartphones: iPhone iPhone XS and XS Plus.

Apple is all set to launch the iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and an affordable iPhone with a 6.1-inch LCD screen at an event on September 12. It will have an OLED screen and it will come with a gold color option, according to 9 to 5 Mac. For September 2018, it's predicted that Apple will release its latest flagship-the iPhone XS-along with a slew of other devices, including an updated iPad Pro and a new Apple Watch series.

Speculation is also rife that Apple will dub the Plus version of XS as "Max" as in "taking it to the Max", due to its size. The other iPhone, a 6.1-inch LCD display, is probably going to be called iPhone 9, and will also run the A12 chip. Apple may release three new devices this month and the rumor mill has been busy trying to figure out what the company has in store for us.

As far as hardware is concerned, the iPhone XS Max will be powered by the unreleased A12 bionic processor coupled with M12 motion-coprocessor.

As for the aesthetic design, all three iPhones will features an edge-to-edge display with a small steel frame wrapping around the glass. Reports in the past said that Apple would not exceed the $1,000 mark for all the iPhones and that the cheapest iPhone, which would be the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone would cost between $600 to $700. But all will be revealed September 12 at the Steve Jobs Theater inside Apple Park.

Apple is reportedly planning to call its largest iPhone to date the iPhone Xs Max, according to a new report.

The images also reveal that the next-in-line iPhone will continue to feature the bezel-less display and have a larger sibling featuring a 6.5-inch display while the base version will be at 5.8-inch. In terms of storage, the more expensive phones will get three options; the base with 64GB, another variant with 256GB and the third with 512GB storage.

Wireless charging capability is present on all three new iPhone models and all three offer improved Face ID as the biometric security method too, ditching Touch ID and its fingerprint sensor completely. The iPhone XS Max will start at £1099. The particular device recently leaked in some images, showing an iPhone 5C-like approach by Apple.

In the USA, this means the cheapest 2018 iPhone will set you back $699, the iPhone Xs should go for $799, while the iPhone Xs Max is going to be priced at $999.
