Watford v Manchester United Betting Tips

"In two seasons, he had 105 appearances, 5744 minutes, 63.7 matches of 90 minutes, including five finals". The most important thing of all is the kid [Marcus Rashford] is a good kid, the kid is a good player and knows what Manchester United did for him, starting in the Academy and then with Mr Van Gaal's support and my support and the club's support and the new contract and the new (number 10) shirt and being selected for every single match.

Manchester United will be keen to build on their win over Burnley when they take on high-flying Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday evening.

Tongue in cheek, Mourinho said he is still expecting criticism when the forward was not in the team against Watford.

"Speaking about Marcus, I think I can expect that Sunday I'm going to be highly criticised for not playing him tomorrow", he said in a four-minute response.

"But it is not my fault, he's suspended, so probably you should remind them that he is suspended and can not play". He played well, he competed well, he scored and especially in a period where he comes with some sadness after his suspension.

However, Mourinho has sensationally hit back at the duo in United's press conference ahead of their away trip to Watford.

In theory, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho couldn't have asked for a kinder fixture to follow the worldwide break as the Red Devils travel to Vicarage Road to take on a Watford side that they have beaten 14 times in the past 15 meetings.

"The ones that wake up in the morning and the first thing that comes into their mind is Jose Mourinho and Manchester United, I feel sorry for them".

"For the Manchester United supporters, I think it's important that they have the right idea of how things are in reality".

"Since I was here, he was never one day out of selection because of my decision". He was never, never out of selection, so he knows and that's the most important thing.

Mourinho also confirmed left-back Luke Shaw could return to action at Vicarage Road just a week after suffering a concussion in England's Nations League loss to Spain.

Rashford scored both of England's goals over the worldwide break - one in the defeat to Spain at Wembley; the other in the win over Switzerland in Leicester. He returned to Carrington on Monday but Mourinho admits the 23-year-old is a doubt to face Watford, who have started the season with 12 points from four games.

"He had one little one problem in one ankle in training during the week so he is also a doubt", Mourinho said.

"It says to me it's because they know he offers something and that's why he gave him a new deal", he added.
