Eugenie and fiance release wedding details ahead of big day

The Dean of Windsor, David Conner, will officiate and the Archbishop of York, John Sentamu, will lead prayers.

The palace said it had received more than 100,000 applications and that invitations had been posted to the lucky group chosen.

New and exciting details have been released by the palace about the upcoming royal wedding of Princess Eugenie and her fiancé Jack Brooksbank - including one very sweet nod to Eugenie's own family name.

Meanwhile, the Queen has agreed for the grounds of Windsor Castle to be opened to those wishing to join the celebrations with 1,200 members of the public being invited to join them on the day. And yes, members of the public will have the opportunity to spot the couple during this event.

Eugenie, who is ninth-in-line to the throne, met Mr Brooksbank on a ski trip in Verbier in Switzerland in 2010.

The couple got engaged in January after several years of dating.

While children from two local schools, St George's School and Coworth Flexlands School, both of which Princess Eugenie attended, will be present, as well as members of the Windsor community, residents of Windsor Castle and a number of Royal Household staff.

Die-hard royal fans will be able to catch a glimpse of the royals during a procession through the streets of Windsor after the couple have officially tied the knot.

Obviously, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's nuptials were the be-all and end-all as everyone saw their romance as the flawless fairytale - but we can't forget about Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank upcoming day.

Once the service has ended, the newly married couple will undertake a short carriage procession through part of Windsor High Street.

Crowds are instead expected to watch the couple as they travel along Castle Hill, High Street and Park Street.
