Sources close to Chen, who has been the program's moderator since 2010, told CNN and The Wall Street Journal that the host will address her departure in a pre-recorded message that will air on Tuesday's episode. Her marriage came to the forefront of conversations in the aftermath of Les Moonves' ousting following allegations of harassment and sexual misconduct at the network, and she did not appear on The Talk after the decision was made to let Moonves go, leading many to wonder if she would come back at all.

Chen also hosts CBS' Big Brother, a role she has fulfilled since the series premiered in 2000. "Good night." Usually, she just says "Julie Chen".

According to TooFab, Williams continued by saying it will be impossible for Chen to work with longtime Talk co-host Sharon Osbourne, who last week said the fallen Les Moonves "obviously has a problem".

CBS would not comment. She did, however, return to her other CBS show, Big Brother, where she seemed to subliminally support her spouse, signing off at episode's end by referring to herself as "Julie Chen Moonves".

Chen returned to TV Thursday for the first time since Moonves resigned as CEO of CBS following accusations of decades of sexual misconduct at the cable giant. On the show, her fellow co-hosts reacted to the news.

"He has always been a kind, decent and moral human being", Chen wrote in his defense this summer. "Goodnight", the CBS star said. "I fully support my husband and stand by him".

At the very least, many people in the industry think it will be next to impossible for Chen to resume her day job on The Talk.

"I have known my husband, Leslie Moonves, since the late '90s, and I have been married to him for nearly 14 years", she wrote on Twitter in July.
