Watch today's Google Doodle video below.

The Doodle ends as the the show always began, with Mister Rogers speaking directly to the kids tuned in for the day's episode.

What he was doing, of course, was patiently teaching children through care and kindness - affirming lessons forever laced with messages of acceptance and curiosity and love.

Fred Rogers Productions, the nonprofit Fred Rogers Center and BixPix Entertainment worked with Google to create the animated introduction. "There's nobody in the whole world who's exactly like you and people can like you exactly as you are".

Rogers also continues to be honored by the television and film industry for his award-winning show. What ultimately matters, he said, is what we do with it. Daniel Tiger conveys numerous same life lessons and educational materials to kids, in the trademark friendly neighbor tone of Fred Rogers' work.

The search engine's doodle on Friday paid homage to "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood", the iconic PBS show starring Fred Rogers that helped to raise generations of children. The first episode of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood was taped on September 21, 1967, in Pittsburgh and continued on until 2000. And now, through innovation, we are screen neighbors again, cozying up to your lasting spirit of love and compassion.
