The 28-year-old Londoner will put his World Boxing Association, International Boxing Federation and World Boxing Organisation titles on the line against Russia's Alexander Povetkin.

The fight has a reported £26m purse with Joshua expected to take home up to £20m while Povetkin will receive £6m.

Povetkin, the 2004 Olympic super-heavyweight champion, lost to Klitschko in Moscow in 2013.

"WBC Heavyweight World Champion Deontay Wilder will defend his title against lineal champion Tyson Fury in a blockbuster matchup of undefeated heavyweights on Saturday, December 1 live on Pay-Per-View", Haymon boxing said. "Joshua must up his game because against Povetkin it is not going to be a walk in the park". It's going to be one for the legacy.

Joshua said Povetkin was one of the toughest challengers.

Meanwhile, Joshua was over a stone-and-a-half heavier than Povetkin as they weighed in for their fight at Wembley on Friday, Skysports reports.

The Briton, who holds the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO belts, stepped off with a measurement of 17 stones eight pounds and five ounces compared to the smaller Russian's 15 stones and 12 pounds.

"It's a very comfortable and good weight for me, I feel great", he said, via a translator. I have prepared for speed and power.

"The very least I will do is give everything I have".

"Well, I just signed my portion of the contract of the Wilder vs. Fury fight", Wilder said. "I don't make predictions, it will be an interesting and thrilling fight".

Despite the sizeable weight advantage, unified champion Joshua insists he is agile enough to bring up his 22nd professional victory.

"I know you've got a big punch, I know you're big, I know you've got a big mouth and I know you want to win but you don't want it like I do".
