Arsenal's next opponents are Everton, another team that have struggled defensively so far, and they will be hoping Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang can take advantage of that weakness, especially after the striker rediscovered his scoring form with two goals against Vorskla.

The Stamford Bridge side have won all five of their opening games in the league, with the club's offensive record nearly doubling from 1.53 to 2.63 goals scored per game and an already impressive defensive tally of just 0.94 goals conceded on average last season, dropping down to 0.75.

But once tipped for greatness the England International was never able to live up to his full potential due to a combination of injuries and lack of first-team opportunities.

Asked if he had been frustrated at being made to wait to make his debut, Leno replied: "Of course, because I came to the club to play every game".

They lost their opening two Premier League games to Chelsea FC and Manchester City before bouncing back with three straight wins in the top flight. "But also I have a lot of confidence in [Alexandre] Lacazette", he said.

"Thirty-eight matches give us and give them (opponents) the clarity to show who is the best for the top four".

"That's not my first idea".

"But we need to continue to improve on this because in the last minute in Newcastle and again today in the last 20 minutes, we conceded two goals".

"I actually thought he would go back to Southampton - and he almost did, but I believe Everton offered him a better package and you can't blame him for that".

As things stand Jorginho is averaging more passes per game than any other player in the Premier League, 2.07 key passes per game and already has a goal to his name.

"I think the players played like we want [in order to] take more minutes", he said.

However, the winger will be bidding to shine this time around, and in an interview with Sky Sports he has stated that his Everton side could be level-par with Arsenal this season, and can even finish above his former club in the Premier League table.
