Among references to football and drinking, the future Supreme Court nominee's page boasts that he is a "Renate Alumnus", a phrase that also appears below a group of nine football players including Kavanaugh, and the pages of multiple other individuals, the New York Times reports.

Now, it's up to Kavanaugh and Ford to make their case to the Senate and the country.

Karin Roland, UltraViolet's chief campaigns officer and an organizer of the protest, said the messages were meant to show support for two women who have accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault. "What I'm saying, though, is Kavanaugh is trying way to hard to convince everyone that not only did he not assault anyone, he's always been a living saint".

"I have never done anything like what the accuser describes - to her or to anyone".

According to The New Yorker, 53-year-old Ramirez alleges that Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a party when they were both students at Yale University in the 1980s.

"If such a thing had happened, it would have been the talk of campus", Kavanaugh said. "So if he doesn't get to be on the Supreme Court, maybe he'll be 'The Bachelor'".

Democrats have accused Republicans of not conducting a thorough review in their rush to get Kavanaugh confirmed.

"With the hearings coming up on Thursday and more survivors coming forward and so much at stake, we knew we needed something big and visible", Roland said.

U.S. Supreme Court nominee judge Brett Kavanaugh looks on during his Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing on Capitol Hill in Washington, U.S., September 4, 2018.

Clune began Tuesday by issuing a series of statements on his Twitter page, calling for an FBI investigation where witnesses would be under oath and face the threat of perjury if they lied. MacCallum asked him how long he was a virgin in college, after he volunteered that he never had sex in high school. "I did not have sexual intercourse or anything close to sexual intercourse in high school or for many years thereafter ..."

But Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell seemed to back off such harsh language as he worked to coalesce his 51-senator majority behind Kavanaugh, a recognition that Kavanaugh's path to confirmation remained uncertain even as the Senate Judiciary Committee scheduled a vote to advance the nomination on Friday. And once was in couple's therapy with her husband in 2012. The women I knew in college and the men I knew in college said it's inconceivable I could have done such a thing.

"I know my lifelong record and I'm not going to let false accusations drive me out of this process".
