Both panels are of the OLED variety, but while the Pixel 3 has bezels at the top and bottom of its screen, the Pixel 3 XL has a notch at the top of its display, just like the leaks predicted.

But just what are these devices we've seemingly known everything about for the last couple of months? Google Lens is getting integrated directly into the camera of the Pixel 3 and boasts new features like being able to search for specific fashion accessories, which will certainly make Lens a more popular selling point on Android devices.

But the main features aren't hardware, they're software, and Google has gone all out in new software. However, these phones also represent what the pinnacle of Android phones should be.

But what about this years? Here's where you can find them. It's supposed to launch with the Pixel 3 and be added to the Pixel 1 and 2 sometime "soon". On the glass back, there's a fingerprint reader and one camera; on the front, there's a notch in the screen to hide its front-facing cameras. Otherwise the two devices are very similar. They have 4GB of RAM and no microSD storage card slot. There is a USB-C port for charging and there is still no audio jack. You know the drill.

No surprise, the first and biggest reveal of the day was Google's new flagship phone, the Pixel 3 and its bigger brother, the XL.

Meanwhile, the Google Pixel 2 XL (64GB) will continue to be sold at Rs 45,499. The device includes double front-facing speakers, supposed to output really good sound. Both phones have a single 12.2MP rear camera with 1.4um pixels, optical and electronic image stabilization, and an f/1.8 aperture. According to the Wall Street Journal, Google was aware of the issue since it was fixed in March, yet neglected to disclose the bug due to concerns over increased scrutiny. The smart speaker now features a fairly large display, where you can view your calendar, watch videos and photos, and control your smart home. Another stellar feature is Google's Super Res Zoom where the Pixel 3 snaps a load of photos and runs them through an algorithm to improve zoomed shots.

Finally, Google wrapped up its photo highlights by mentioning one of its most useful features: Unlimited cloud storage for photos. Utilising Google's imaging AI, Night Sight automatically colours and balances a photo to what it should look like. It also makes clever use of magnets, which is something we've seen over Google's hardware history. They include Ireland, Japan and France for the first time. The phone will use machine learning to maximize exposure and brightness in your photos without ruining your shots. Not bad, if not a tad worrying. During a call, the stationary camera will track you, slowly panning and zooming to keep you in frame as you walk around your living room or kitchen, chopping vegetables or digging in the sofa for the lost remote. It's also got some special features when your Pixel 3 XL is charging on the stand, like an ambient light mode that mimics the sunrise before your alarm goes off in the morning and the ability to show your schedule, traffic info, and news. Google has equipped the Pixel 3 with a 2915mAh battery, while the larger Pixel 3 XL comes with a 3450mAh battery.

Meanwhile, Apple's (aapl) current generation iPad Pro, which Apple said has a 10-hour battery life, starts at $649 and comes with a 10.5-inch screen, a 64 GB hard drive, and the company's A10X Fusion chip.

The Pixel Slate tablet has a 6-million pixel display and was described as "a flawless device for play and work", by Trond Wuellner, Google's director of product management. Gboard, the keyboard built into your Pixel 3, will recommend GIFs, stickers and more, to make your conversations fun and engaging. It will also be available on Google's Project Fi network.
