US President Donald Trump has said it is "an insult to the American public" for Democrats to consider impeaching Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and claimed the allegations made against him were a hoax.

"Roberts says he received the ethics complaints beginning September 20th, but did not act on referrals until today", Baier added. The complaints deal with statements Kavanaugh made during his confirmation hearings and were initially filed with the D.C. Circuit, where Kavanaugh served for 12 years before joining the high court.
