Kanye West and President Trump's agenda for their Thursday sitdown will include signing new legislation that could potentially put more money in Kanye's pocket.

Recording Academy President Neil Portnow and Recording Industry Association of America President Mitch Glazier, among other music industry figures, will also join Yeezy at the signing, scheduled for 11:45 am EST.

The Senate passed the Music Modernization Act on September 18 by unanimous consent.

There was no small amount of urgency for the music industry in moving the bill forward, with midterm elections just weeks away.

The Music Modernization Act will reportedly establish a "blanket mechanical license and a centralized system to administer it", in addition to requiring digital and traditional radio to pay royalties on pre-1972 recordings.

- The AMP Act (or Allocation for Music Producers Act), introduced in March by Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-LA) and ranking committee member Dianne Feinstein (D-CA.) with the support of and Senators Bob Corker (R-TN) and Kamala Harris (D-CA).
