The Nokia 3.1 Plus ships with Oreo, but since it's an Android One device (as are all current Nokia models), we'd expect it to be bumped up to Pie in the not too distance future.

If you're like me, devices that rely overly on numbers rather than names or something get a bit confusing, and so it is for me with keeping track of HMD Nokia's new handsets. The screen itself is an IPS LCD one with decent viewing angles and punchy colours. It will be available in two RAM variants:- 2GB/3GB and will come in two storage variants 32GB/64GB. In the camera department, Nokia 8110 features a 2-megapixel rear camera. The device also features 512MB of RAM, 4GB built-in storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. Users can head to the website and sign in to get started. One can track the updates from Nokia India's official Facebook page.

Moving ahead, the camera performance is where the Nokia 3.1 Plus seems to shine the most.

The phone sips juice from a decent 3500mAh battery.

P22 is MediaTek's mid-range chipset, built on a 12nm process clocked at up to 2.0GHz. For Rs 11,499, Nokia is touting its massive display for overall good multimedia experience, great photography experience and a two-day battery life. It can even connect to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1 and Global Positioning System. Combined, the 3.1 Plus offers hardware-based bokeh effect inside the images. They look decent, but it will be interesting to see how they fare against the Redmi 6, which is the possibly the best camera phone under Rs 8,000.

Both the Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 5.1 Plus turned out to be a real success for HMD Global. And with the Nokia 3.1 Plus, the brand is looking to replicate the same success in the offline market. Unlike the Nokia 6.1 Plus and the 5.1 Plus that sports glass rear backs, the Nokia 3.1 Plus employs metal-plastic combo rear panel. But what makes the Nokia 3.1 Plus stand out from others is the presence of stock Android.
