Stand-up comedian Aditi Mittal, who has been supporting the Me Too campaign with all her valour on social media platform Twitter lately, was accused of sexual harassment by fellow comedian Kaneez Surka.

"I need to tell my story as it happened to me". Improv artiste Kaneez Surka took to micro-blogging site Twitter to speak up about an incident that has left her feeling "humiliated, shocked and completely stripped of choice".

However, Aditi refused to acknowledge the incident, and denied kissing Kaneez. "In the presence of an audience of 100 and many comedians, Aditi Mittal walked up on stage and forcefully kissed me on my mouth out of the blue and put her tongue in my mouth, while I was still on stage and without my consent". When I mustered the courage to reach out to her a year ago, she first apologised but soon turned hostile towards me, leaving me confused and hurt.

"Seeing her name all over Twitter as a champion of the cause has been triggering me immensely".

Surka said she once again spoke to Mittal on Tuesday via a mutual friend to come out with a public apology and let her keep her identity secret.

Surka ended her note by saying that she is only looking for a public apology and does not want her post to be misused to malign the #MeToo movement. Later, when Kaneez pointed it out that it wasn't consensual and demanded an apology for the same, Aditi totally denied her claims and gaslighted her. To the men reading this, this is not about you or an opportunity for you to use this for your own agendas. What she is doing is not for publicity but for closure and mental health.
