That's right, one of the most addicting games of the past few years will now be available to play on both your iPhone and iPad, so good luck getting anything done. The game was originally released on PC in 2016, making its way to Xbox One and PS4 shortly thereafter. Here's why I'm posting the news here: players will be able to transfer their save data from the PC version to iOS, taking their farms and all their chums with them to gaze longingly into Clint's dead eyes on the bus. It's a charming and relaxing farming simulator that was clearly a labor of love for its developer.

The mobile version of friendly farm 'em up Stardew Valley will debut on iOS at the end of the month, creator Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone has announced, with Android to follow. It plays nearly identically.

It gets better. Not only will the game cost a very reasonable $7.99, but it will include all of the version 1.3 single-player content.

Barone said the mobile version of Stardew Valley includes the full game and plays nearly identically to the PC version, with the UI changing slightly to support touch screen gameplay. There's also no multiplayer, which wouldn't work too well on a phone anyway.

Stardew Valley is priced at $7.99 on the Apple App Store. Fortunately, you will be able to transfer your PC save data to the iOS version of the game via iTunes. And, if you're using mods in Stardew Valley on PC, that will cause problems when importing the save files. Unfortunately, mod support and multiplayer content isn't available in the mobile version. This port of Stardew Valley has been worked on with UK-based studio The Secret Police, who are also actively working on an Android version of the game.
