A grand jury in Union County, NJ just indicted the ex-MLB superstar on 3 serious crimes. possession of cocaine, possession of meth and making terroristic threats after an alleged blowup with his Uber driver last May.

The driver told police that Dykstra was picked up at Crescent Circle in Linden, N.J., with a listed destination in nearby Clark Township, but changed his mind and wanted to go to Staten Island.

Dykstra faces an arraignment on a date to be determined.

As we previously reported, Dykstra was arrested back in May after allegedly threatening his Uber driver - who then stopped the auto in front of a police station. An attorney for Dykstra didn't immediately return a phone message Wednesday.

Dykstra played 12 seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets and was part of the Mets' 1986 championship team. The driver then drove to a police station, where the arrest was made.

An officer patted down Dykstra, who claimed he had no gun and that the driver had kidnapped him. He allegedly told police Dykstra held a gun to his head, though no weapon was found. Police said they found the drugs among Dykstra's possessions.

The cops found evidence of cocaine and meth on Dykstra, which led to his arrest. He has two previous convictions, including a federal fraud conviction.
