- It is hard to believe Odell Beckham Jr.'s controversial interview with ESPN that aired Sunday morning somehow galvanized the Giants in any way.

Odell Beckham, asked in that ESPN interview, if the Giants have an issue of quarterback, smiles and answers "Uh, I don't know ..."

With the Giants trailing 30-24 in the fourth, Eli Manning threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Saquon Barkley.

Like his brother, who turned serious in congratulating Brees, Eli went on to say he thinks his relationship with Beckham is fine and he was glad the star receiver had addressed the team the night before their game against the Panthers. But is it a matter of time issue? (I'm) cool catching shallow (routes) and trying to take it to the house.

While the Giants lost to the Panthers in the final seconds Sunday, Beckham and Co. are still viewing their first 30-point game since the 2015 season as a step in the right direction. He also caught five passes for 35 yards receiving and a touchdown.

In the second-quarter, the Giants muffed a punt and Colin Jones recovered it in the end zone for a touchdown for Carolina.

Beckahm himself had a good game during Sunday's 33-31 loss to the Panthers as he notched eight catches for 131 yards and a touchdown.

NBC analyst Rodney Harrison suggested Beckham shouldn't be criticizing his coach and his quarterback after signing a five-year extension in the offseason that could be worth up to $95 million.

Let's take a look at plays the Giants executed well, or could improve on for their game on Thursday against the Eagles. "I don't get 20 targets like some other receivers, you know".

"It's like I want to be here, like I've been waiting to get here this whole time". Head coach Pat Shurmur was not happy to hear this - in fact, he was "absolutely livid," per Fox's Jay Glazer. Instead, Newton spiked it on first down because McCaffrey did pick up the first down. I can take that every single time. Not to say that it isn't going to work.

"We just need to play with some heart". Ellison, who was lined up on the opposite side of the field than Beckham, ran a drag route across the field, pulling the defensive back with him.

"I just want to be able to be the very best that I can". Beckham is the first Giants player to throw for a touchdown and have a touchdown reception since Hall of Famer Frank Gifford did it November 22, 1959. I feel like a caged animal who gets this - it's my 60 minutes of playtime. "I haven't been in the place where I felt like I could really go out and do everything that I'm capable of doing", Beckham said.
