Three women, an actor, an assistant director and a journalist took to Twitter on Thursday to accuse Sajid Khan of sexual harassment. Aamir Khan too quit a movie, Mogul, after allegations emerged against its director. Image sourceConfirming that the director did not misbehave with her personally, Bipasha mentioned that Sajid had a disgraceful attitude towards women and would crack lewd jokes on set. "If you're going to complain the avenue is still open". She pushed him and ran out crying.

Seth, a popular celebrity consultant, has been accused by filmmaker Natashja Rathore, 27, who posted a number of screenshots of a WhatsApp message that she sent him recently recapping an alleged incident that had taken place previous year at Seth's condo in Gurgaon.

She said when women have started talking their allegations should be taken seriously.

The actor also said that he would call her at odd hours justifying it by saying " the industry never sleeps and work happens at all hours... except he wasn't talking about work" and make inappropriate talk on the phone and in person.

An IndiaSpend article indicated that there was a 51 percent rise in the reporting of workplace sexual harassment (at places related to work) from 469 to 715 cases in 2015. They added that they are committed to making the film industry a safe and happy one to work in. Gandhi asserted that she believes in the "pain and trauma" of every complainant and urged more women to come forward and address the issue of sexual harassment and narrate their experiences. In recent days two leading editors have stepped down, a Bollywood production house has been shuttered, India's top comedy troupe faces an uncertain future and a popular author has apologized. The movement has taken the digital world by storm, and it only fits that the authorities take the #MeToo movement to real-life consequences. Amidst Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar brawl, Alok Nath, Subhash Ghai, Piyush Mishra and others have been alleged of sexual misconducts, filmmaker Sajid Khan is the new entry in the line-up.

Meanwhile, actress Bipasha Basu told Indian Express that she had in 2014 refrained from participating in the promotion of movie Humshakals because of Sajid's character. Actors such as Kalki Koechlin, Swara Bhaskar, Tisca Chopra, Rakhi Sawant, and Maushami Udeshi have been speaking out against casting couch in Bollywood, even before the #MeToo movement.
