Iron Fist starred Finn Jones as Danny Rand, the son of billionaire parents who were killed in a plane crash.

After releasing its first 2 seasons in 2017 and 2018, Marvel and Netflix have officially canceled "Marvel's Iron Fist".

"Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew and showrunners", the statement from Marvel and Netflix continued.

Marvel's Iron Fist had a two season run on Netflix. We're thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership we've shared on this series.

Specifically, it's possible that Netflix may not have picked up the Marvel series for a third season because it's possible Disney may be looking to continue the series over on their own streaming platform, which is set to debut sometime next year. "While the series on Netflix has ended, the immortal 'Iron Fist' will live on".

The first season began with his return home and his attempt to take his family's company back. All 10 episodes were released on September 7 and featured Alice Eve as the villain Typhoid Mary.

Apparently a much-improved second season was not enough for Marvel and Netflix to order a third season and the story of Danny Rand could end here, depending on what the character's involvement in future Defenders series might be.

"Speak to our friends at Netflix". "The show's been out of a week". The Marvel-Netflix comic-book superhero universe also shares continuity with the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Avengers movies.
