Liverpool wait to rule on Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk injuries

Mane suffered the injury ahead of Senegal's clash with Sudan while Mohamed Salah returned from worldwide duty nursing a muscle injury.

James Milner, Mohamed Salah and Virigi van Dijk are all set to be fit for Liverpool's game against Huddersfield on Saturday.

James Milner suffered a hamstring injury before the global break and was forced to miss 60 minutes of the Manchester City clash at Anfield and although he was only expected back at the start of November, the midfielder could be fit to face Huddersfield.

But the 32-year-old has made a quicker than expected recovery and could be included in Jurgen Klopp's starting eleven on Saturday.

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has been released from Holland's squad due to injury.

The triple injury boost will be a relief for Klopp after Sadio Mane became the latest Liverpool player struck down by injury on worldwide duty.

Sadio Mane was taken to hospital on Monday afternoon after suffering a minor injury that left his hand in a cast.

The Senegal global hurt his hand in training ahead of a game against Sudan, and is reported to have broken a bone his left thumb.
