Dennis Hof, who turned owning a brothel into a unique form of pop culture celebrity, died Tuesday at the age of 72.

According to the Reno Gazette Journal, Hof had celebrated his birthday Monday evening with a party attended by porn star Ron Jeremy and other guests.

Dennis Hof was the picture of health before his untimely death, and there are no obvious signs he was under the influence when he died.

Hof appeared in the HBO series "Cathouse" which documented the lives of some of the workers in his brothels. "My heart goes out to those who care about him". "The Clark County coroner will conduct an autopsy", Muth said in a statement. "Hof is the most high-profile legal "pimp" ever".

The brothel was temporarily shuttered twice this year by regulators who said Hof failed to renew licenses and get proper permits for renovations.

Hof had also been accused of sexual assault on at least four occasions.

Thorley says that if Hof wins the election for the heavily GOP assembly district then officials in the counties that the district covers will nominate another Republican to fill the vacancy.

Hof was running against Democratic Las Vegas educator Lesia Romanov. He ran for the state legislature in 2016 as a Libertarian but lost the race.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio, former madam Heidi Fleiss, Trump ally Roger Stone and Americans for Tax Reform founder Grover Norquist were also in attendance at the rally on Monday.
