Keira Knightley joins The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing on Tuesday (October 16), and gushes all about her 3-year-old daughter, Edie Knightley Righton!

Keira Knightley is now promoting her new Disney movie The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.

But the British actress isn't a fan of all Disney princess movies as she reveals she has "banned" her three-year-old daughter from watching some of the classic fairy tales because they lack feminist values.

The issue? The way women are portrayed in films like Cinderella, which Knightley says is banned from her home because the princess "waits around for a rich guy to rescue her". "Don't. Rescue yourself, obviously".

"And this is the one that I'm quite annoyed about because I really like the film but 'The Little Mermaid.' I mean the songs are great but do not give your voice up for a man".

"'Finding Dory" is a big favorite in our house", she said. "'Frozen' is huge, "Moana' totally fine".

Ellen, who provided the voice for Dory, chimed in, "There's some good ones, but mainly Dory".

The Bend It Like Beckham actress is typically private about her family life but also opened up about Edie's dream profession. "I thought, you know, that's a stable career... Which I think is slightly more problematic, but she roars very well".

"What if she would want to be in this business?"

The star did, however, list one movie that she allowed.

"It's changed. She did want to be a dentist, which I was super happy about", Knightley shared.
