Jimmy Shue entered a Wendy's in Gastonia, N.C., on October 3, when an employee taking his order asked for his name.

A North Carolina man says he was hurt and embarrassed after a Wendy's worker body-shamed him on his order receipt, WCNC reports.

He says the "Chubby" insult came out of the blue when he stopped at the Gastonia restaurant around 8pm on October 4.

'The girl asked me my name at the register, so I gave her my name clear as day, "Jimmy".

At first he was upset but didn't want to raise hell about the ticket. The employee taking his order asked for his name, but when he got the receipt, he noticed that it read "Chubby" instead of "Jimmy".

Then when another employee called out his order, the patrons at the restaurant exploded with laughter, leaving Jimmy utterly humiliated. "Everybody started laughing in the restaurant, and I got really embarrassed".

Shue said he reached out to Wendy's to complain, but the particular restaurant he was at is franchised and locally owned.

Shue said someone with Wendy's told him the situation has been "dealt with", but did detail what that meant.

"We work very hard to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for our employees and customers", the statement said, according to WBTV.

'Why anybody would write "Chubby" is just cruel, ' one customer said to WFMY.

"I think they should make it right", they added.
