Season 8 of American Horror Story is a new storyline, but it combines two previous seasons - AHS: Murder House and AHS: Coven. However, it's the next person they encounter that sets the tone for what's to come: Lange's Constance Langdon appears on the stairs and when Madison demands to know who she is, Constance, cigarette in hand, firmly announces that the Murder House is her house. "He doesn't seem like a monster to me", Madison says.

As she's leaving, Madison sees Violet crying.

When Madison says they are there to find out more about Michael Langdon, Billie Dean stops them from inquiring further.

Constance talks about taking the burden of raising Michael after Vivien (Connie Britton) died in childbirth. Paulson says the death scene was her favorite scene to shoot.

After he killed the babysitter, the scene from the end of Murder House, she revealed that Michael had aged a decade in one night. Despite repeated attempts to get him to stop his evil ways, Constance realized that she no longer had the strength to stop him.

Lange's appearance tonight marks her first return to the FX anthology series since her last appearance in Freak Show. Lange has won two Emmy Awards for being a part of the series, but she will reportedly be on just this one episode. In fact, show creator Ryan Murphy said that, "I'll keep doing it for as long as we have the ideas and the momentum".

For those who would like to watch tonight's episode of American Horror Story or any of the season 8 episodes via Amazon, American Horror Story season 8 is available for purchase on Amazon. "She replied 'what's this trending thing?' THAT'S WHY I LOVE HER", he wrote.
