Fantastic Beasts sequel: New footage reveals it's all about Credence

They're joined by Claudia Kim, Zoe Kravitz, Callum Turner, with Jude Law as Dumbledore and Johnny Depp as the titular Grindelwald.

The biggest revelation is that fugitive Obscurial Credence (Ezra Miller) is what kicks the whole story into motion. Even though it will continue to its conclusion because the Harry Potter franchise is so valuable, that doesn't mean that fans are necessarily interested. She is and she's J.K. Rowling. You can still keep the Grindelwald character, but Depp brings more controversy that box office success.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald opens in theaters on November 16, 2018.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is the second of five all-new adventures in J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World.

In an effort to thwart Grindelwald's plans, Albus Dumbledore (Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. The film stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamandar alongside returning stars Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, and Ezra Miller.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is being directed by David Yates, from a screenplay by J.K. Rowling, and produced by David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram. Tim Lewis, Neil Blair, Rick Senat and Danny Cohen serve as executive producers.
