Comedian George Lopez - a well-known critic of President Donald Trump - was caught on video Sunday scuffling with an apparent Trump supporter at a New Mexico Hooters, KCBS-TV reported.

"George wants to fight me, George wants to fight me!" the man repeats in the video.

Lopez's upcoming independent film "Walking With Herb" is a faith-based movie based on a novel by Joe Bullock, according to Deadline.

'Here comes my boy George. He was "in the comedian's face all night, making pro-Trump comments and yelling, 'MAGA, '" said a source.

Lopez has not been quiet about his distaste for the president, even prior to Trump's election.

The man met up with Lopez again while the star was on his way out of the restaurant, which is when the video started. Lopez says something unintelligible during the scuffle as he grabs the man's neck. Instead, the star grabbed his phone and appeared to try to film his own crotch, although the phone was not recording.

Las Cruces police spokesman Dan Trujillo said Tuesday that authorities are looking into the incident, according to the Las Cruces Sun News.

One of the event's largest donors, Liberty Media CEO Greg Maffei, was sitting in the front row and asked Lopez to stop with the anti-Trump jokes.

In October of previous year, Lopez performed at a charity diabetes event in Denver, Colorado.

The movie also stars Mary McDonnell, Christopher MacDonald, Billy Boyd, and Jon Heder.
