Skybound Games, which has taken up development duties on Telltale's The Walking Dead: The Final Season video game, let fans question CEO Ian Howe and the game's creative director, Kent Mudle, in a Reddit AMA on Wednesday.

According to Variety, the episode received a 2.0 rating in the key demographic of adults 18-49. The season nine premiere was the lowest-rated premiere in series history.

The show's previous low in the key demo was a 2.4, which was set during season one.

Will Carl's Dream Become Rick's Downfall?

Following back-to-back solid episodes, The Walking Dead has found itself in a nice groove to begin season nine.

However, in terms of total viewers (as opposed to ratings), 4.9 million people watched this week's episode live or same day, which is not the worst ever. The latest season will continue with its third episode next weekend. The glass half-full is that the episode still ranked second in the demo on Sunday night, and the only thing that beat it was arguably the best NFL game of the season on Sunday Night Football.

Naturally, details of Rick's exit have been kept well under wraps as fans eagerly wait to see if he'll make it out of the series dead or alive.

Airing Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC, The Walking Dead stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Lennie James, Alanna Masterson, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
