Dressed in a military uniform, Prince Harry was accompanied by his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, in all black.

"Meghan told me that pregnancy was like having jet lag", Connell, 35, said, as reported by Sky News.

The gold trousers were for a good cause, too - they were worn by Sam Schumacher, co-founder of Bondi surfing community and mental health awareness group OneWave.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now on a 16-day royal tour that includes stops in Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand.

The striped dress Meghan wore at Bondi Beach yesterday was also designed by a New Zealander.

"It's a bit of a double whammy for her, she said, as she has both the baby and jet lag to contend with". Dabriella Quayle, 37, said afterwards: "Oh my goodness, they were just so real, so relatable".

Anthony Carroll, known as Harries, added: "It was incredible, they're such handsome, down-to-earth people. I think it is more than protocol, I think it is real intention with him".

Whether she was sharing her first job with the students or praising them for their charitable works, it was clear that the Duchess of Sussex had a connection with these girls.

Later in the day, Prince Harry went solo to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge to raise the flag of the Invictus Games, which kickoff this weekend in Sydney.

Watched on by NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, Prime Minister Scott Morrison and NSW Veterans Affairs Minister David Elliott, the duke and duchess laid a colourful wreath of Australian native flowers at the memorial's front step.
