We are mere days away from the long-awaited final confrontation between Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and Michael Myers in the new Halloween, which hits theaters on October 19 (we loved it).

Forty years after the original Halloween slashed through theaters and made Michael Myers nightmare fuel for generations to come, Blumhouse has rekindled the beloved horror franchise with the help of some franchise icons.

Theatres is warning against wearing the masks, as well as bringing any weapons - real or fake. However, Green indicated the breathing could well be the masked slasher's, hinting that he does survive, paying tribute to the ending of John Carpenter's original film from 1978.

If it seems like we've been talking about David Gordon Green's Halloween for months, it's because we have: a quick look at the BMD archives reveals that we've been hyped and rambling about this movie for nearly a full year, and what a roller coaster it's been.

"We are taking necessary precautions to ensure our guests who wish to enjoy a movie this weekend can do so with as much peace of mind as possible in these circumstances", the company added at the time. Curtis is joined in the film by Judy Greer who plays Karen Strode, the daughter of Curtis' character, and Andi Matichak (Orange Is the New Black, Underground) who plays Allyson, the granddaughter of Laurie Strode.
