The first auction house to sell prints by Banksy since THAT auction two weeks ago does not anticipate another stunt like the one that shredded half a picture moments after the hammer fell.

Banksy has posted a video to his website in which he implies the shredding of his Girl With Balloon at a Sotheby's auction in London was supposed to have been complete. Link in bio. Some people think it didn't really shred.

One of the biggest stories in the art world this year was street artist Banksy having his painting "self-destruct" just moments after the work sold for almost $1.4 million at auction.

Interestingly, in the video, Banksy shows how in rehearsals the frame had successfully shredded the picture in its entirety. "Shredding the Girl and Balloon - the Director's cut".

Alex Branczik, Sotheby's head of contemporary art in Europe, has also reiterated in a new interview that the auction house was not in on the stunt. It shows hands and a hooded figure (Banksy is fond of hoodies) constructing the mechanism.

The auction house said it can not predict how high the bidding will go for its three prints, but it expects the extra attention from Banksy's last stunt will have an impact on prices.

Banksy has posted a video showing how he managed to shred his Girl With Balloon painting immediately after it was sold at auction.

Most experts believed the painting was meant to stop halfway through shredding, an act that actually doubled the value of the artwork. According to the Guardian, the piece has since been retitled as "Love Is In The Bin" and the original buyer went ahead with the purchase regardless.

Other recent works included the opening of Dismaland, his dystopian, Disneyland-esque theme park in 2015, which he described as a "family theme park unsuitable for children".
