"He's not Lyin' Ted anymore".

Trump had also ridiculed Cruz's wife, Heidi, during the 2016 campaign and promoted a conspiracy theory that Cruz's father was connected to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Trump's Texas stop is part of a campaign blitz that is expected to last until Election Day.

President Trump will have held 37 "MAGA" rallies in 18 states since taking office after the completion of the Toyota Center event. Ted Cruz, who's running for re-election against Democratic Rep. Beto O'Rourke. "Very late into the campaign and I said don't worry about it, it's only a question of time, and then it became very nasty and then it was over and, when it was over, we got along great".

Trump, by the way, says he regrets nothing.

The long, twisted relationship between President Donald Trump and U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) continues as Trump coins a new nickname for one of his most heated 2016 GOP rivals: "Beautiful Ted".

"I just got out of bed and ran down here", Brewer, a freight logistics manager, told the Chronicle. After Cruz lost the primary, he gave a speech at the Republican National Convention in which he did not endorse Trump and instead called on Republicans to "vote your conscience", drawing boos from the crowd.

In a boost to Republicans ahead of the midterm elections next month, Trump is stumping for Sen.

"We won't let Trump distract us", he said, adding, "Texans don't want shameless rubber stamps for Trump's dangerously out-of-touch and reckless agenda". "I think it's more like wave bye-bye to the blue".

The president was asked about his past attacks on Cruz as he departed the White House for the Cruz rally. "I work with the president in delivering on our promises".
