Facebook Messenger Unsend feature gives you 10 minutes to take it back

You can finally take back your ill-conceived messages on Facebook.

Hopefully this leads to a serious decrease in the amount of people waking up with the fear as a result of a stupid message sent the night before. The bad news is that you'll only get 10 minutes after sending a message to delete it.

"If you accidentally sent the wrong photo, incorrect information or message the wrong thread, you can easily correct it by removing the message within 10 minutes of sending it", Facebook said.

Well don't worry, because Mark Zuckerberg has come to the rescue.

Users may now delete messages on the Messenger app but it only reflects on the sender's end and remains on the recipient's thread. Facebook is about to bring similar unsend functionality to its Messenger application, now that its WhatsApp mobile chat app has it.

The option to unsend messages on Facebook Messenger is coming soon, the social network giant recently confirmed. It doesn't actually send the email until it passes that buffer time. Facebook's unsend for both its messaging apps will actually deliver the message when you hit send.

You'll have to notice the mistake pretty quickly if you want it erased from the digital world; but nevertheless, it's possible now.
