Mr Ratelband argues he feels discriminated against because of his age, and that it was affecting his employment chances and his success rate on the dating app, Tinder.

We'll just have to wait for the court's ruling to find out whether Ratelband gets to drive whatever auto it is that he thinks 49-year-olds are allowed to drive that 69-year-olds aren't.

In an unprecedented case in the Netherlands, Emile Ratelband told a tribunal that he wants to shift his birth date two decades later to Mar 11, 1969.

'When I'm on Tinder and it says I'm 69, I don't get an answer. "When I'm 49, with the face I have, I will be in a luxurious position", Ratelband theorizes.

Ratelband argued that he is a "young god" and said changing his age would allow him to "live differently", saying he would get more matches on Tinder if he could put a younger age.

"Transgender people can now have their gender changed on their birth certificate, and in the same spirit there should be room for an age change". He complains that companies are reluctant to hire someone the age of a pensioner as a consultant.

Mr Ratelband, a media personality and motivational guru, converted to Buddhism earlier this year and is a trainer in neurolinguistic programming. My biological age is 45 years.

The single father, who said he has tried in vain to stop his basic pension, told the tribunal on Monday that his petition was "legitimate", likening his bid for a legal remedy to people who register a change of official gender.

When I'm 69, I am limited.

Ratelband seems especially focused on getting his dating life back on track and says that he isn't anxious that women who see him in the flesh may be disappointed.

'If I'm 49, then I can buy a new house, drive a different vehicle. I can take up more work.

"For whom did your parents care? Who was that little boy back then?", the judge asked rhetorically, according to The Telegraph.

A court in Arnhem, in the eastern Dutch provice of Gelderland, is expected to deliver its decision on Ratelband's age within four weeks.
