Liverpool have officially revealed their starting eleven and substitutes to take on Red Star Belgrade in an away Champions League group stage clash this evening. "He needs two proper sessions for his fitness, which he will get at Melwood", Klopp said.

Earlier in the match Daniel Sturridge had a chance to put the Reds 1-0 up, when the scores were level, but blasted half volley over the bar.

While Anfield remains a fortress on European nights for the Reds, a worrying trend is emerging for Jurgen Klopp on the road, particularly with a visit to Paris Saint-Germain to come next in three weeks' time.

"From the first whistle, we didn't start well enough, and that showed with them getting the two goals".

Liverpool finishes the group with a trip to PSG and a home game against Napoli. Their passing was sloppy, their midfield was ill-disciplined and they seemed to lack any sort of clear game plan.

Liverpool fans were left angered with Lazar Markovic after he appeared to like the fact that they were stunned by Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday, claims he later denied. We had moments, we had kind of nearly-chances, the biggest in the last two three minutes and before that not enough.

And Red Star doubled their lead just seven minutes later when Pavkov bagged his second with a superb strike from 25 yards out which Alisson may feel he could have done better with.

It was supposed to be an easy six points against the Serbian outfit, but the Reds have taken just three.

"You can't give teams that start", Liverpool midfielder James Milner said. In Liverpool we controlled the game, tonight we didn't.

"The atmosphere, noise-wise, was not a problem for us, but after the second goal they could smell it".

With Shaqiri not being part of the travelling party, no changes are likely in the attacking trident for the Reds, with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, both of whom scored in the last game against Crvena Zvezda, expected to slot in on the flanks, while Roberto Firmino spearheads the attack.

The visitors began to mount some real pressure on the Red Star goal during the final exchanges, but they were unable to carve out anything of note in front of goal.

Klopp said Liverpool lost their mojo during the Group C reverse on Tuesday and sought answers from his players on their return to Melwood.
