A bug-free Windows 10 October Update still seems to be far away, and Windows users have already come up with another issue. Some users who have Windows 10 Pro installed report getting a notification telling them their Windows license is no good, even though it's valid and has been working correctly for months or years. To deal with specific activation error, head over to this Microsoft website. (And some people said they did this.) Some users also said they followed the instructions they received in the erroneous messages and rolled back to Windows 10 Home. However, several Insiders have also reported of similar deactivations indicating that this could be a problem at Microsoft's end.

According to those able to get hold of Microsoft's call centres, the advice is to wait a while and the problem should fix itself, indicating something has gone awry on the licensing servers, and engineers are now scrambling to fix it. The affected users need not to do anything as it is a known issue.

Microsoft is aware of this situation and has released a statement explaining the issue. The company issued an Emerging Issue notice, and a copy of a technical support chat states that the activation error is known to impact Windows 10 Pro users in the US, Japan, Korea, and other unnamed countries. "Our engineers are working tirelessly to resolve this issue and it is expected to be corrected within one to two business days." .

Windows Security gains an additional Windows Defender Application Guard setting that lets users manage access to their camera and microphone while browsing using Application Guard for Microsoft Edge.

Once you download the app, you'll need to sign in to your Amazon account or create one.
