After having converted to Islam, Sinead O'Connor no longer wants to be around any white people - whom she called "disgusting" and seemed to think include all non-Muslims.

Posting the comment - which she herself described as "so racist" - on Twitter today, Sinead said: "I'm terribly sorry. But truly I never wanna spend time with white people again (if that's what non-muslims are called)", she tweeted.

O'Connor, 51, complained in later posts about President Trump, and she wondered if Twitter would ban her statements when it allowed Trump to "spew the satanic filth even on my country".

A known critic of the Catholic Church, O'Connor also discussed the role of violence in religions such as Islam, Judaism and Christianity.

Her following tweet read "BTW if one IS an intelligent theologian and has taken the journey, one would know there is no more talk of ancient violence in the Q'ran as the Tanukh, the Bible or The sodding Mahabarata". "And it's all equally (irrelevant) to our times", she wrote, adding the hashtag "#ReignOfWhiteMANover".

"Everyone says the Poor Americans are the victim of Trump".

In response to this, she simply noted that "If its "Crazy" to care".

She wrote at the time: "This is to announce that I am proud to have become a Muslim".

The singer recently converted to Islam and made the announcement via Twitter on October 20.

"All scripture leads to Islam". Which makes all other scriptures redundant.

O'Connor has been open about her struggles with depression and suicide attempts.
