Philadelphia had lost all their away games by an average of 15.2 points.

Embiid collected his league-high 11th double-double on what he called an off night.

They started fast, jumping to a 19-9 lead, and closed it out by starting the fourth quarter on a 14-4 run that made it 92-75 with 7:32 left. When it ended on Simmons' breakaway layup with 6:04 to play, Philadelphia led 94-77.

With Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons doing the lion's share of their damage in the paint, teams like the Hawks have recently opted to crowd the paint in the hopes of clogging the driving lanes to the basket, forcing the 76ers shooters to beat them on the wings. That's because instead being the one destroying an opponent on the court, he had to taste a little of his own medicine, courtesy of Domantas Sabonis.

"We just didn't hit shots tonight, honestly", Oladipo said.

Like the 76ers, the Pacers were also coming off a loss, 98-94 to the Houston Rockets on Monday. Robert Covington had 13 points, Landry Shamet had 12 and J.J. Saric also had seven rebounds while Embiid had three blocks. If the Sixers can hold off the Pacers in the closing minutes, they'll get their first road victory of the season.

In the (seven) games where they've had six or more players score in double digits, the Sixers have a 5-1 record, including solid wins over the Chicago Bulls, the Los Angeles Clippers and now the Indiana Pacers. Sabonis has scored 1,002 points since joining the Pacers last season. IN was 12 of 17 from the free-throw line and 8 of 31 on 3-pointers. "I thought the whole game was bad".

Pacers: "We're playing good enough defense, keeping teams at or under 100", forward Thaddeus Young said. "We're seeing it's very, very tough for us to win the game only scoring in the 90s".

Sure, "score more points" is hardly a revolutionary concept, as literally the only way for an National Basketball Association team to win a game is to outscore their opponent, but establishing parody across a rotation makes the team all the more challenging to guard because it opens up the floor considerably.

76ers: Will attempt to keep their flawless home record intact Friday against Charlotte.
