Rams CB Peters to Saints coach Payton: "Keep talking"

Peters reacted sharply in the Rams' locker room Thursday when asked about postgame comments by Payton in which the veteran coach said the Saints liked the matchup of receiver Michael Thomas going against Peters, a former Pro Bowl selection.

Week 9 of the 2018 National Football League season probably wasn't the best week of the year for Marcus Peters, the cornerback for the Los Angeles Rams.

"So tell him to keep talking' that s-, and I hope we see you soon". Sean Payton did not let the sleeping dog lie, as he targeted Peters following the game. "We're going to see him soon".

You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone, Saints fan or Rams or anyone else, who isn't hoping for a NFC Championship Game rematch between New Orleans and L.A. Hopefully it'll be in the Big Easy again.

"They were going to travel Marcus to him, and that was fine by us", Payton said afterward. "Because I like what he was saying on the sidelines too".

Peters got ripped apart due to his performance, so he has every right to be angry with Payton.

Thomas had a career day against the Rams and set a new franchise record for most receiving yards in a single game with 211. Thomas may have won Offensive Player of the Week with Peters covering him, but he's not really someone you want to target, as he's a turnover-producing machine.

They're the two best teams in the conference, each with one loss.
