The meeting was the latest as the responses are finalized, and the source said the answers could be submitted to the special counsel in the coming days.

Among the topics covered is a June 2016 meeting between the president's son, Donald Trump Jr., other members of Trump's campaign team and a group of Russians, the source said.

Trump met with his lawyers this week in anticipation of responding to the questions, according to the source.

Rudy Giuliani, a lawyer for Trump, declined to comment, as did Peter Carr, a spokesman for the special counsel.

The special counsel continues to remain quiet regarding possible future indictments, but just about every political pundit in the nation believes that new indictments are almost certain now that the election has passed.

Former Trump attorney Michael Cohen was also in Washington on Monday to speak with Mueller's team, according to CBS. The almost year and a half long probe by the special counsel stems from allegations of Russian Federation coordinating with members of the Trump presidential campaign.

The questions, as ABC News has previously reported, center on alleged Russian meddling during the 2016 election cycle, which Mueller is tasked with investigating.
