Snoop Dogg was honored with the 2,651st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday.

The rapper was joined by Dr. Dre, Jimmy Kimmel and record producer Quincy Jones for the ceremony in front of the El Capitan Theater on Hollywood Boulevard.

In his acceptance speech, Snoop Dogg thanked friends and family and further ended his speech with "I want to thank me". "I want to thank me for doing all this hard work". "I want to thank me for trying to do more [right] than wrong, I want to thank me for just being me at all times". I want to thank me for never quitting. "I want to thank me for just being me at all times", the West Coast hip-hop legend known for his wry sense of humour added. The rapper has gone on to release 16 solo studio albums, selling over 35 million units worldwide, leaving an indelible mark on the genre in the process.

He also is a regular star of films, from Scary Movie 5 (2013), to Starsky and Hutch (2004) and Training Day (2001).

The musician and star of an unlikely television pairing with lifestyle guru Martha Stewart - Martha and Snoop's Potluck Dinner - was awarded the honour on the 25th anniversary of his debut album Doggystyle.
