These Unreal Arrowverse Crossover Photos Will Hold You Over Until 'Elseworlds' Begins

Unlike the trailers released so far, just comic or dramatic stingers of a few seconds, the photos released by The CW offer up 20 new looks at the casts of Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl - along with the cameo stars. Not only do we have Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Barry (Grant Gustin) swapping super suits - and apparently lives since Oliver is getting cozy with Iris (Candice Patton) - we've also got our first peek at their matching biker outfits from later on in the crossover. Have they joined a gang with mobster boss Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) at the head or something?! LaMonica Garrett's The Monitor, the caretaker of the multiverse that will hopefully sort all this out, makes an appearance, as does John Wesley Shipp's '90s Flash costume.

There's also the implication of some heart-wrenching (and potentially comic) moments between the friend groups and loved ones of Flash and Green Arrow, as the pair are surrounded by, say, Iris West - who nearly certainly loves the wrong man during at least part of this event.

Finally, the pièce de resistance: Batwoman (Ruby Rose).

The CW previously set the dates for the annual Arrowverse crossover, with this year's storyline heading to Gotham City, a place previously off-limits to The CW. So if you have the law and order, protector, and hope gone, what happens as a result? Caroline Dries, who consulted on the crossover and will executive produce the potential Batwoman series, previously told EW, "Some people are thriving in his absence because now they can start to do their own thing without the oversight". The reason no one talks about Gotham is the city might as well be dead. "Our guys walk into a grimy, scary Gotham". The crossover airs in December, and things get a bit insane: Stephen Amell is The Flash! "Elseworlds" continues with Arrow on Monday, Dec. 10 at 8/7c and Supergirl will close things out in The Flash's typical time slot on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 8/7c.
