"My son has passed away", his mom, Filomena Lima, tells Us.

Surgery determined the tumour was malignant and it turned out to be stage 4 cancer. He was struggling for 13 months since his cancer diagnosis.

LFO, a popular 90s group, was best known for their hits, "Summer Girls", "Girl on TV", and "Every Other Time". "It's devastating news, but at the same time, there's nobody I know who's stronger than Devin", Fischetti revealed in one of many video blogs updating fans about the treatment plan.

The vocalist died after a yearlong battle with cancer, according to multiple reports.

'No one has a stronger body, mind and soul and if anyone can defeat this it's Devin'. He underwent chemotherapy and radiation following his diagnosis. It was their first new song in 15 years.

The band initially split in 2002 before reunited in 2009 - however, they split again later that year.

LFO's original lead singer, Rich Cronin, died in 2010 after suffering a stroke related to leukemia.

"Our whole LFO team is distraught over this and we want nothing more than to see Devin back on stage doing what he does best but, unfortunately, LFO is at the bottom of the list of things that Devin needs to accomplish to get back to normalcy in his life", she wrote at the time.

Lima and Fischetti were planning to hit the road for another leg of their Rich in Love tour but had to postpone due to the singer's health problems. The boy band released a new song, "Perfect 10", in 2017.
