The footage was then published by The Sun.

Arsenal say they will "remind players of their responsibilities" after a video emerged which appears to show a number of Gunners stars inhaling nitrous oxide.

Arsenal duo Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Shkodran Mustafi are also seen in the video, although it is unclear whether the pair took part in inhaling the balloon alongside their teammates.

A club spokesperson said: "The players will be spoken to about this and reminded of their responsibilities as representatives of the club".

Nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas or "hippy crack", is freely available, but it is technically illegal to sell it for recreational purposes.

Nitrous oxide is not illegal in Britain but experts say recreational use can be risky, especially if combined with alcohol.

"What I'm struggling to work out about Arsenal's fantastic run is why Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's on-field brilliance is not being highlighted more".

The players in the champagne and vodka party in London under question were mainly Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Sead Kolasinac and Matteo Guendouzi.

The Sun reported that boxes of nitrous oxide canisters were brought to the players in a private area of a West End nightclub in August.

The Gunners are now on an unbeaten run of 20 straight matches following their 2-2 draw with Manchester United midweek.
