Hazard has frequently spoken of his desire to one day play for Madrid, notably doing so earlier this season in an interview in which he admitted he would also happily extend his contract at Chelsea, where he feels settled, is a fan idol, and has a club board desperate to persuade him to renew.

Having lost Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus last summer, Madrid have been crying out for someone to take the former number seven's mantel, having seen both Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale become inconsistent.

Arsenal legend Martin Keown blames Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri for Eden Hazard poor form so far after a blistering start of the season. "If he is going to go, let's see if he can leave a dent in this Manchester City team first.' Chelsea lost to Wolves 2-1 at Molineux Stadium last Wednesday which saw the Blues sit in four places with 31 points 10 behind Premier League leader Manchester City". But they found themselves in a similar situation last season with Hazard's Belgium worldwide team-mate Thibaut Courtois.

A valid contract of Eden hazard with Chelsea expires in the summer of 2020.

"It's up to him".

I want Eden here, of course.

The Blues are said to be willing to break the bank and make him the club's all-time top earner to keep him at Stamford Bridge.

The Spanish midfielder is rumoured to be a top January target for the Italian giants after entering the final six months of his Stamford Bridge contract.

Chelsea will reportedly still push ahead with plans to offer Fabregas a new long-term deal in the coming weeks.
