President Donald Trump wished Amazon Inc. founder Jeff Bezos luck in his divorce from his wife MacKenzie, predicting the proceedings will be "a beauty".

The couple will also have to split assets, including the 400,000 acres of property they own.

They say they followed Bezos and Sanches "across five states and 40,000 miles, tailed them in private jets, swanky limos, helicopter rides, romantic hikes, five-star hotel hideaways, intimate dinner dates and "quality time" in hidden love nests".

The joint statement concluded: "We've had such a great life together as a married couple, and we also see wonderful futures ahead, as parents, friends, partners in ventures and projects, and as individuals pursuing ventures and adventures".

No information is available on how the couple are dealing with the financial implication of the divorce. He and his wife described each other as "cherished friends" and gave the impression it was amicable.

Jeff Bezos was ranked the richest man in the world in 2018 by Forbes, which reports he is now worth more than $136 billion.

Although the founder, chairman, CEO, and president of Amazon is now listed as the most wealthy man in the world, Jeff Bezos is reportedly set to lose a huge fraction of his fortune due to his impending divorce from his wife of 25 years. "We feel incredibly lucky to have found each other and deeply grateful for every one of the years we have been married to each other".

TMZ's sources say Jeff and MacKenzie have known Lauren and Patrick as good friends for 10 years.

Bezos has a current net worth of $137 billion (down from last year's $160 billion), while Amazon is the most valuable company in the world with a total worth of $810 billion.
