Apple to Introduce a Three-Camera Setup With the Next iPhone Flagship

The prestigious newspaper Wall Street Journal has informed today that this year we will see three new iPhone models, including two with OLED screen and one with LCD screen.

In an ideal world, Apple probably wouldn't launch an entry-level device in 2019 but because the LCD iPhone has been in the product pipeline for so long, abandoning it at this stage would make even less sense, the sources suggested.

Despite reports that there's some trouble in Apple's iPhone division, the tech giant is planning three new handsets this year, according to a new report. The Cupertino-based company is said to be bringing new camera features to the upcoming iPhone models, including a possible triple camera setup in the iPhone XS Max successor.

The Apple iPhone XI Max will lead the way with its previously rumoured triple-camera system on the rear. It isn't clear whether Apple is planning to introduce any major features for the iPhone XR successor, or whether it will just be all about spec upgrades.

Apple is to release another cheaper iPhone next year as part of a trio of smartphone launches as it battles to revive sluggish recent sales for its latest models.

However, for 2020, Apple will fully switch to the organic light-emitting diode, or OLED, display for iPhones, thereby completely dropping the LCD model, the report said.

Last month, Bloomberg reported that the company was-and still is-facing a "fire drill" to boost sales from shareholders, which prompted Apple to aggressively release its discounted iPhone XR model in October, which runs about $300 less its regular model.

With the exception of their haptics, Android smartphones meet and exceed Apple's smartphones on nearly front. Apple last week cut its fourth... Mr Cook also acknowledged that consumers in other markets are not buying as numerous latest iPhones.
