Although he is often criticised by fans, Willian is considered a key player by manager Maurizio Sarri and he is reluctant to lose any more senior players.

But Barcelona are preparing a mammoth bid worth £50m in the hope of luring the attacker away from Stamford Bridge.

It emerged on Thursday that the Catalan giants had made contact with Chelsea over a swap deal involving Malcom, who they signed for £38m from Bordeaux last summer after failing to land top target Willian.

The Spanish giants failed to get a deal over the line for the Brazilian worldwide a year ago, but Sky Sports have announced that Barcelona are ready to do a deal again for Willian, which will not only see Chelsea get a significant fee, but they are also offering Malcom as part of the deal.

However, he's failed to make an impression, featuring in just five league games this season.

And due to Willian having 18 months left on his current Chelsea contract, the Daily Mail claim the west London club may be tempted to accept.

The American is expected to replace Hazard in the summer.
