Deadline reports that the fifteenth and final season will include 10 episodes and will air between 2019 and 2020.

The Criminal Minds team will film the final 10 episodes this spring to film straight through after Season 14 is completed.

"Criminal Minds", produced by ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios, is now in production on its 14th season, which brought the long-running drama past the 300-episode mark back in October.

Criminal Minds airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on CBS. It now stars Joe Mantegna, Paget Brewster, Matthew Gray Gubler, A.J.

The show revolves around an elite team of Federal Bureau of Investigation profilers who analyze the country's most twisted criminal minds, anticipating their next moves before they strike again. Cook, Aisha Tyler, Kirsten Vangsness, Adam Rodriguez, and Daniel Henney. "It's been successful not only on air but online, in syndication, internationally for ABC (Studios)".

The executive producer also teased enemies from past seasons could make appearances, including "one in the works right now who's a very memorable villain", Messer teased, "but I don't want to say too much if it doesn't work out with casting".

The series has been a cornerstone of the CBS schedule, though its ratings have fallen in recent years.

For now, the team behind the cameras as well as in front of them is still working on season 14, so the fans still have quite a lot of content to enjoy before saying goodbye to the long running procedural for good!

The show has also not been without controversy during its run. St. Johns has since left the production.
