Layton police in Utah responded to a crash Monday because a driver covered her eyes while driving.

The police department tweeted photos of two cars involved in the crash - one was a pickup truck with the front bumper bent, the other was a smaller vehicle with the entire driver's side crushed.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the Layton, Utah, crash, a representative at the police department told CBS News.

Lt. Travis Lyman, Layton Police, said the 17-year-old girl driving the pickup truck was with a 16-year-old boy when she made a decision to attempt the "Bird Box Challenge" and used a beanie as an impromptu blindfold.

"Bird Box" is a recently released Netflix drama featuring Sandra Bullock where a woman and her children live in an apocalyptic world that requires them to cover their eyes to avoid evil in order to escape.

Despite warnings from Netflix and just general common sense, it looks like people are still participating in that stupid Bird Box Challenge.

The driver veered into oncoming traffic and struck a passenger vehicle. "It really puts everybody at risk".

As for the teen, she now faces reckless driving charges.
